When your item sells, eBay charges a final value fee — a percentage of the total the buyer pays (item price + postage) — plus a small fixed fee per order.
UK private sellers currently pay no selling fees on most categories (since October 2024), aside from an optional regulatory operating fee. Business sellers pay roughly 12.8% + £0.30 per order, varying by category. Set the fee % above to match your account.
An insertion fee is charged to list an item once you've used your free monthly listing allowance (around £0.35 per listing). Most sellers get plenty of free listings, so it's often £0 — add it to the "fixed fee" box if it applies to you.
